On July 8, 2021, the State of Hawaiʻi will be allowing Hawaiʻi-bound travelers who have been vaccinated in the United States or in U.S. Territories, to bypass the state's quarantine requirement with proof of vaccination.
These travelers may participate in the exception program starting on the 15th day after their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine -- or starting the 15th day after they’ve received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
To qualify for the program the state is asking all Hawaiʻi-bound travelers to upload one of three vaccination documents to their Safe Travels Hawaiʻi account, prior to traveling to Hawaiʻi.
Travelers are also asked to bring their vaccine documentation with them so screeners can verify their information. Children under 5 years of age must be traveling with an adult who has been pre-travel tested for COVID or been fully vaccinated.
Children 5 years and older who have not been vaccinated must participate in the pre-travel testing program.
As of this time this program has not been extended to international travelers.
